Craig Nugent

Craig Nugent BA(Hons) MFA - Dundee University, Scotland.
Creative Director


Craig Nugent is an artist, designer, musician, teacher and writer living in Arbroath, Angus, Scotland, with his partner and son. He loves his family, typography, text, language and learning.

Before co-founding Yellowhammer Creative, Craig was a part-time teaching fellow in Fine Art, Philosophy and Contemporary Practice and an examiner at Dundee University, Scotland. During this period he was also a part-time lecturer in Graphic User Interface design, Multimedia Communications and Flash animation at a local college. He was also a contributor to the Virtual Learning Environment at the college.

Lorraine Wakefield is a writer and editor with over 15 years experience in print and online - with a dedication to clear language and attention to detail. Outside work her passions are yoga, the outdoors and her family.

The text faces are: Droid sans, Droid serif, Forelle and League Gothic. Droid Sans and Droid Serif were designed by Steve Matteson, Type Director of Ascender Corp.

Forelle was designed by Dieter Steffmann.

League Gothic is a revival of Alternate Gothic No.1, designed by The League of Moveable Type.

All fonts except Droid Serif are courtesy of the excellent @font face kits from Font Squirrel.

Droid Serif is courtesy of the Google Font API.

The website was designed on a Toshiba laptop running Windows Vista - a couple of Macs were thrown in as well.
